We are thoroughly excited about the fact that we (think we) are the first site to publish details and images of the new Stella McCartney Kids collection for Autumn / Winter 2012. (We were decidedly slow last time, with the Stella Kids SS12 range!) Anyway, the new collection is as delightful as the last, with a wonderful muted palette (as one would expect), together with bright contrasting blues, greens and yellows that jazz things up nicely. Parents of babies (if not the babies themselves) will love the knitted bunny motif on some of the pieces, which also include a pompom tail!
The girls collection features dots as a theme – the see-through dotted Dottie rain macs are very cool, as are the striped Petra tights. There are also some pieces which are based on items from the designer’s main collection, such as the Misty dress in tulle and embroidered spots, and the Fran coat in wool.
The boys collection has some real standouts too – the Ed reversible bomber jacket with wolf-print emblem on the back, the same wolf-print Cosmo jumper, and the military-themed Snoops jumper. Little feet will also stay warm this season as the range also features winter-specific footwear with the tough Marshall hiking boots and Rainbow moon boots – a must-have for skiing holidays.
Our favourite pieces must be the beautiful pea-green Bettie duffle coat and the boys black Tux jacket – fantastic!
